We use statistical mechanics, information theory, and machine learning to study how chemical and biological interactions resolve information, from proteins and signaling networks to the cytoskeleton, cell states and neural circuits. We ask the same questions of adaptable synthetic materials, and work on generative AI and statistical mechanics.
